This page explains what personal data gssupport.gr collects, why it collects it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It describes what the site actually does, rather than repeating boilerplate.

We are the data controller for everything described below.

What we collect and why

Repair request

When you fill in the repair request form, we store your name, phone number, device type, description of the problem, and when you plan to bring the device in. We also record the IP address the request came from, so that we can limit automated submissions.

We use this only to contact you about that specific repair. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, together with steps taken before entering into a contract. The data is stored in the website’s database and is seen only by our staff. It is never used for marketing.

Newsletter signup

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and nothing else. Signup uses double opt-in: we send you a message with a link, and your address is added only if you click it. If you do not click, the address is deleted automatically within two days.

The legal basis is your consent. The list is held on Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), acting as a processor on our behalf. Every message we send contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also just email us.

Live chat

The site includes a live chat window provided by Tawk.to (tawk.to inc., USA). When you use it, the service receives the content of your conversation, your IP address, the page you are writing from and technical details about your browser, and it places cookies on your device. Share only what is needed — never send passwords or payment details through chat.

Google reviews

The reviews shown on the home page are public reviews from our Google listing, fetched by our own server through the official Google Places API. Your browser never contacts Google in order to display them, and this feature collects nothing about you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider automatically records, for every visit, the IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser type. This happens for security and correct operation of the site, on the legal basis of our legitimate interest, and the logs are rotated and deleted periodically by the provider.

Cookies

The site uses no tracking or advertising cookies and has no analytics package installed. Cookies are set in two cases only:

  • by the Tawk.to live chat when it loads, so that it can remember your conversation;
  • by WordPress if you log in as an administrator — this does not affect visitors.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Live chat will stop working, but the rest of the site will behave normally.

Who else sees the data

We do not sell or trade personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run the site:

  • Our hosting provider, where the site and its database live.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — newsletter email addresses only.
  • Tawk.to (USA) — only what you type into the live chat.

We may also disclose data where required by law or by a public authority.

How long we keep it

We keep repair requests for as long as we need them to serve you, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we have the history of your device if the fault returns. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data at any time and we act on it promptly, unless a tax or other legal obligation requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 you have the right:

  • to know what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • to have inaccurate data corrected;
  • to have your data erased;
  • to restrict or object to our processing;
  • to receive your data in a portable format;
  • to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Email us at info@gssupport.gr or call +30 281 028 2777. We reply as soon as we can, and in any case within one month.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, 1-3 Kifissias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, Greece, www.dpa.gr.

Security

The site runs exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the administration area is password-protected and limited to our staff.
